A) Coming Apart: Healing a Broken Heart
The ending of a love relationship, whether you leave or are left, is one of the most difficult emotional experiences life can present. Many of us stay stuck in the grief, sadness, and anger for years.? In this workshop a clear model is presented along with accompanying exercises, to help participants move through the loss of a love. Believe it or not, we can live through the ending of a relationship and come out transformed, grateful, and open to new possibilities. Note: This workshop is most appropriate for those no longer in their love relationship.

10:15 - 11:45 AM – Morning Workshops
(Choose one of the following if you are not selecting the full-day workshop, then select an afternoon workshop below.)

B) The New Stress Management
Are you living at a very hectic 24/7 pace? Maybe more forgetful, fatigued or irritable? Does your heart race at times? Do you cry for no reason? Like many of us in this culture you are likely dealing with chronic stress. Research suggests that Breath Work (learning to breathe) is a potent way to manage stress and anxiety by retraining the mind. In this workshop we will get you started with this life affirming and energizing practice by introducing some beginning exercises that you can easily do everyday.

C) The Path to Forgiveness: Rediscovering Kindness, Compassion & Hope
Old wounds can affect our well being and current relationships. Sometimes we hold on to anger, hurt and blame beyond its usefulness. In this workshop you will learn to let go of resentment through forgiveness practice. Come prepared to work on a relationship which has caused you emotional pain. We will guide you through a series of experiential exercises that will help you increase your understanding of the past from a new perspective, and cultivate a more open and loving heart.

D) When Love Means Letting Go: Relationships With Our Adult Children
Parenting our adult children can be challenging. How are we supposed to support them? Are we listeners, advice givers, friends or elders? This workshop will explore the difficulties in staying connected to our adult kids, balancing their need for autonomy and guidance and our need for dialogue and respect. Share with others in this workshop the particular issues you have in negotiating this life passage.

11:45 - 1:00 PM Lunch provided

1:00 - 2:30 PM – Afternoon Workshops
(Choose one of the following if you are not selecting the full-day workshop and select a morning workshop as well.)

E) Time to Live in the Moment!
Mindfulness-based stress reduction (using meditation, yoga, breath work, and relaxation) is both popular and effective. In this workshop we explore how not judging, patience, practice, acceptance, and letting go help us cultivate awareness and mindfulness. Join us to become more aware of and alive in the present moment, a path to experiencing more serenity and peace. This is an excellent follow up to “The New Stress Management” workshop, or can be taken on its own.

F) Picture the Possibilities!
Feeling creative? Have no artistic ability but feel like painting, coloring, cutting, and pasting? Join us in designing and decorating a picture frame with wonderful ideas of the possibilities for you. You will be supplied with an unfinished picture frame and a range of materials for decorating the frame. You can leave it at that or continue on to fill your frame with images of your possibilities.

G) Creating Family
Many individuals live in families unlike the traditional nuclear biological "family" pictured in classic TV shows or described in print. This can occur through adoption, estrangement, death, sexual orientation, or a variety of other reasons. Join us in this experiential workshop as we explore the personal meaning of family.

H) Navigating Adolescence: Helping Our Daughters Maintain a Healthy Sense of Self
Adolescence can be a challenging time for teens and parents. This workshop will integrate information and your experiences so that you will be better equipped to empower your daughter as she makes her way through adolescence.

2:30 – 3:00 PM Refreshment Break

3:00 – 4:00 PM Closing: Is It Time To Leap?
Reflect on your day-long journey using a brief guided meditation. Then in the larger group, share as the spirit moves you or just listen to what others have to say.
